I’m In Milan, Bella!

September 28, 2011 Fashion week, Milan No Comments

From September 21st through September 27th, 2011, all eyes were on Milan, the expected showstopper of the world in luxe, knits, and accessories. The regulars were there in full force, with the new and not-so-new. Tradition was welcomed, but the fashion innovators were present, and the innovations wooed and wow’ed all.

The Dolce and Gabbana swimwear and resort wear were absolutely eye-popping. The prints, worksmanship, and the sheer beauty of the runway made the Riviera and Cannes the reality for the next short vacation. No one need not be caught dead without a D&G swimsuit and coverup.Emporio Armani restated its power status in elegance in a re-visit of the classic black and white spectator mood, re-styled, re-tooled, and re-powered. The lines were understated elegant, with the twist of new lines and combinations that once again make the spectator look uniquely Armani, a real tribute to the remembered designer’s original work. For those who are on the search for the fashion incubator, Etro broke forth with the tribal influence that made it wearable, form-fitting, and nothing short of sizzling. The color combinations were exquisite, the fabrics ethereal, and the designs were reminiscent of the safari elegance of days gone by. Etro continues to explore the other world of alternative experimental fashion. Etro is not for the fashion backward, or the runway fearful, but has the pieces and the looks that make anyone stand out, on purpose. The lines are in the design, and it speaks new and ready for the world. Are you ready?
